These beautiful two dogs are the GSDCA High In Trial dog (OTCh J-Mar's Hot Stuff, UDX 5, NA, NAJ) owned by Jean Rodoski and the 2006 GSDCA Obedience Victrix (OTCh Galli-Curci Vom Mika-Ashmead, UDX) owned by Amy Vose. These two dogs are cousins which made the wins very special to us.

The High In Trial is the highest scoring dog from all of the regular obedience classes. The Obedience Victrix had to qualify in both Open B and Utility B and have a combined score of over 380.

Both dogs also earned the GSDCA Obedience Elite Award obedience medallion by scoring above l95 in their respective classes.

This is the GSDCA High In Trial dog, OTCh J-Mar's Hot Stuff, UDX 5, NA, NAJ. Spice had a beautiful run in Open B and earned a l99.5. She was awarded a huge Rosette and silver Coffee Service offered by the GSDCA Working Dog Association.

We are back from the 2006 GSD Nationals, held this year in St. Louis. We had a great time and here is how everybody did;

J-Mar's Little Drummer Boy (Ringo) Spice went High in Trial with a l99.5 out of Open B. She was presented her award in front of the whole arena of GSD members on Saturday morning.

Dylan earned his first UDX leg in obedience. He was over time in agility, but had clean runs.

J-Mar's Little Drummer Boy was a also star. He made his debut in agility with 4 qualifying scores out of 4 tries earning 2 legs in Novice Standard and 2 legs in Novice JWW. He also earned 2nd and 3rd place ribbons.

J-Mar's Luciano Pavorotti earned his Rally Excellent last week and earned his first Rally Advanced Excellent leg at the Nationals. He came VERY close to winning the Agility Victor award....lost by 3 seconds.

On September 28, 2006, Polk County Deputy Vernon Matthew "Matt" Williams and his K-9 partner, Diogi were shot and killed in the line of duty. During the funeral on October 4, Joe and Jean took 4 of their dogs (Dylan, Skye, Libby and Risky) to join nearly 50,000 people standing along the funeral procession route. It was the longest "sit/stay" the dogs had ever done...almost 3 hours. Several officers asked to take one of the dogs in the car with them.
